FIFA Manager - by Bright Future
I first played FIFA Manager back in 2004 when it was called Total Club Manager.
After seeing the rigid and move-as-one movement of all the previous football games I'd played over the years, TCM04 really made a lasting impression on me as it was the first time I saw realistic animations in a football management game.
I went on to play FIFA Manager 07, 08, and 10, but finally left the series behind when I became disillusioned with the developers inability to create a realistic match engine year after year. Great graphics are all well and good, but if the game-play remains poor the game becomes old and boring.
Whilst an avid FIFA Manager player, I began dabbling in modding the game, firstly creating 3D realism game-play patches, and eventually creating a mega stadium pack - the largest ever created for the series (apparently!).
Details of which can be found below - including a download link.

I've been informed the stadium pack works with FIFA Manager 2012.

20. February 2010 - 23:35 Mega Patch for Fifa Manager 2010.
I've created hundreds of stadiums with regional variants and backdrops with what is available in the stadium editor. For example, some northern European clubs will play with wintery backdrops, western European clubs with modern-looking stadiums, eastern Europe with a not-so-modern look, Latin American with open-air ovals and lots of ad boards, middle-eastern countries with arid/desert environments as well as big city backdrops (like those in the UAE for example), African with rural and colorful stadia, and India/Asia with wacky colour schemes and dilapidated looking stadiums. I've also created the stadiums for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
I hope it makes the game a bit more authentic looking for you rather than having the same-old generic "field in the middle of New York City" look that is usually generated by the computer!
If you manage a team that is competing in the Champions League or Europa League, you can now look forward to seeing your team play in many varied stadiums - from northern Europe, to Eastern Europe, and the Mediterranean. If you like watching the African Cup of Nations, you can now enjoy watching it in colourful and regionally authentic stadia... if you like watching South American teams, you can watch them play in confetti-strewn stadia, from large open ovals to compact run-down stadiums!
Every club that plays in a league; from Argentina to Vanuatu, now has a stadium to play in!
Credits:
The database is from the Hellas Mega Patch. I've just updated it and fixed a few minor issues.
The script is taken from Gooners 2009 Realism Patch.
Some of the main Western European stadiums have been taken from various fansites (i.e. Italy, Spain, English Prem to League 2, Scotland, Wales, Portugal, France, and Germany). The rest are my own creations. I was tired of seeing the same generic city-scape stadiums that are generated by the game, so I decided to make my own - I don't claim them to be true representations of the actual real life stadiums, but they're far better than the ones offered up by BF's stadium generator. There are around 600 unique stadiums, the rest are duplicates or variations.
Every league club in the database has a stadium.
Clubs not in a league or in a league lower than the premier don't have stadiums (yet), except England and Scotland where all clubs have stadiums. Spain and Italy have stadiums for the top 2 leagues.
Extras included :-
The optional 3D config file included is a hybrid of lots of different patches with my own modifications added - specifically based on making player skills more evident during 3D games (so expect tougher matches against lower league teams).
24. February 2010 - 03:07 Version 3 is now available. This will be my last update.
There are now 3,000 stadiums included.
10. April 2010 - 23:09 MFC1876-REALISMv4 MEGA PATCH
3000 stadiums included!
Many stadiums updated with team colour schemes, added more banners, fixed fencing and roof issues with previous version, added newly built stadiums, remodeled some existing stadiums to more closely resemble their real-life versions. See the 1st post in this thread for more details.
Optional extra included in the patch....

- 2,632 Stadiums.
- Leagues for 205 countries.
- Extended English League structure - includes Combined Counties Leagues.
- 3 config files.
- Gooners Realism scripts.

- Added 205 national stadiums.
- Added stadiums for the 2nd divisions in France, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay.
- Added "away section" complete with segregation barriers and away banners for many stadiums.
- Fixed the near clipping plane of the camera issues with smaller-compact stadiums.
10. April 2010 - 23:09 MFC1876-REALISMv4 MEGA PATCH
- Database with playable leagues in 205 countries (thanks to Hellas Managers mega patch).
- Extended English League structure - all leagues down to the Combined Counties Leagues (includes FA Trophy) - thanks to Gooners Realism scripts.
- Fixed the financial issues that caused wages to spiral out of control after 4 or 5 seasons. Database has been tested up to season 2020/21 and financial structure remains very stable. In the original BF database many big clubs (like Chelsea, Man Utd, AC Milan, Barcelona, would go into financial meltdown after 5 seasons due to the astronomical wages the game began generating). This no longer happens [Tested England, Scotland, and top 2 divisions from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands]
- Fixed the grammatically incorrect names in the Surname.txt Parameter file.
3D Realism Pro Patch for Update 4.
- Based on the English style of play - slightly faster pace than most patches, robust midfield play.
- All players use their true attributes & skills. No artificial modifiers in the HOME & AWAY_TEAM_ATTRIB have been added. This gives you a more authentic game and result outcome based on your players' actual skills as well as your managerial decisions during the match, so expect to see players making more mistakes (like miscued shots, poor tackles, inaccurate passes, failed dribbles, failed step-over attempts, goalkeeper mistakes etc). Basically if you manage Accrington Stanley, they'll play like Accrington Stanley and not Barcelona! Even the best players in the game will make mistakes (just like they do in real life!).
- Speed handicap for weaker players reduced. This feature in the default config was too overpowered and caused lower level players to run too slowly and not able to compete for the ball properly against better players. So now expect your 3D match outcome to be much more dependent on your managerial astuteness instead of just having the fastest players! Don't expect to win many games if you don't actively get involved with how your team is playing in a match. You will need to make tactical decisions based on what your opponent is doing and not just rely on having a team with a higher rating than your opponents to guarantee victory.
- Realistic Scorelines for both AI v AI matches and Manager v AI matches (examples below).
- 2.40 Average goals per game (AI v AI matches). Real life average is 2.48 (EPL).
- 3.00 Average cards issued in 3D games (using Normal Tackling). Real life average 3.40 (EPL).
- Improved ball physics.
- Slightly more bumpier playing surface.
- Much improved defensive play. Much harder to break opponents defenses down and exploit the broken/flawed BF-created formations.
- Goalkeepers now come out of their 6-yard box more often, often leading to a wider variety of goals being scored (like chipped shots). For an example of such shots download and copy the linked Goal 1 & 2 highlights to your C:\Users\YourName\Documents\FIFA MANAGER 10\Data\Highlights folder....
Example of some AI v AI 3D Match results using the 3D Realism Pro Patch:
