Subbuteo - Table Soccer. I played this with a bunch of friends from school during the early 1980's. We had leagues, cups, world cups, floodlit matches, weekend matches, home & away matches (played at other kids' houses with their own unique pitches and stadiums). I originally had the typical cloth pitch pasted on to a piece of chip board with some Subbuteo fencing around the edges and a plastic scoreboard. Later my team got "bought by a tycoon" and we moved to a new stadium that had a Subbuteo AstroTurf pitch, proper stands, bigger goal nets, and even floodlights.
